Aptel Activations
Aptel Activations is Aptel’s scheduling tool for in-person service activation appointments. It’s used only by approved sales reps, activation technicians, and administrators.
What it does
Sales reps book an activation appointment for an order at the point of sale.
Activation technicians get an alert when an appointment opens, claim it, get reminders on their phone, confirm an hour before, open the order in the carrier’s own system, and record how the activation went.
Administrators see every appointment, outcome, and note, and manage accounts.
Customer information
This site never stores customer names, phone numbers, addresses, or account details. Those stay in the carrier’s own secure system, which technicians open with their own login. Appointment records are deleted 30 days after they close; a short report row stays 30 more days for administrators, then it’s deleted too.
Google Calendar
Activation technicians can connect their Google Calendar so their appointments and the open ones show up on their phone, with reminders for the ones they claim. When they do, Aptel Activations creates one separate calendar named “Activations” on their Google account and only adds, updates, and removes appointment events on it.
It can’t see or change any other calendar or event. Events show the order ID, city, and time, and never customer names, phone numbers, or addresses. Technicians can disconnect at any time, which deletes the Activations calendar and revokes access.
